For 1st-5th graders:

Marshmallow Challenge: Participants will have 18 minutes to build the tallest, freestanding structure with the materials provided. Will yours be the tallest?

Goldilocks and the Three Bears Challenge: Participants will design and build a new chair for Baby Bear using the materials provided

What Do You Notice? Participants will write down and attach their mathematical observations about a thought-provoking poster

Pentomino puzzles: Participants will use pentomino pieces to complete various puzzles of shapes/objects

1. Selfie Photo-Rama in Journals:

Using self-portraits taken in a photo booth, you will use watercolors, markers and book-making techniques to enhance their photographs, which will be mounted in a hand-made journal.
2. Mandala Designing:
-
Gleaning inspiration from Buddhist mandalas, you will create your own personal mandala design with pens, markers, templates, etc.
3. Calligraphy Challenge: Create words in the Italic style using calligraphy markers.
4. Body P a r t s: Combine photocopied parts of your face and body with anatomical drawings to create an original work of art!
5. Surreal Collage: Use a variety of materials to create a collage in the Surrealist
style by cutting, pasting and marking.
​Limit of 6 participants/activity every hour (30 at a time).
